About application courses
The application courses are any stand alone courses that APICS - Hamilton Chapter offer that are not part of the three standard programs (FMOM, CPIM, CIRM). The objective with these courses is to provide knowledge and training in very specific areas that have been identified as being of special interest to our membership. More courses will be added as they are identified. Some of the new courses will be half or full day seminar style rather than the standard course structure. If you have any suggestion on topics of interest please forward them on to the education committee at education@apicshomilton.org
Introduction to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
The introduction to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) course will help you determine if your organization is ready for an ERP implementation, examine the benefits of implementing and ERP system, and build a compelling business case in support of an ERP implementation. Introduction to ERP provides a foundation for understanding the process integration of business wide functions (demand management, product design, and delivery) required and supported by an ERP implementation.
The introduction to ERP course explore essential terminology, investigates guidelines for implementation, and includes a manufacturing case study. The course also addresses tactical functions required, such as project management and project planning, and provides an overview of implementation alternatives for ERP.
