ABOUT APICS THE HAMILTON CHAPTER

APICS, the Association for Operations Management, is a professional organization with a membership of over 70,000 people worldwide.

The Hamilton Chapter, the first international APICS Chapter, is part of Region VIII of APICS (formerly known as CAPIC), which encompasses all of the Canadian Chapters.  Hamilton Chapter Bylaws updated May 2008

We are part of the APICS network of Chapters that stand behind the Society's mission statement "...educating our most valuable assets - our people."

APICS is a professional group of individuals who practice the art and science of production and inventory management.

Canada is Region VIII of APICS, The Association for Operations Management, one of the fastest growing professional societies in the world. APICS was originally founded in 1957 as the American Production and Inventory Control Society and currently has over 70,000 members world-wide.

APICS Region VIII of Canada consists of 19 parent chapters and 11 student chapters across Canada, consisting of over 3,000 members.
